The actual kitchen is made from recycled corrugated cardboard which she has covered with contact paper. She cleverly devised a system of joining cuts which mitigated the need for nails, glue or anything else to hold the pieces together. Voila!

"Cardboard is such a lowly material to work in," the sculptor notes, "but when it's sanded enough it takes on the appearance of velvet.
