So, I’m trying to set up a ruby script that screenscrapes another website, writes the results to a local file, then rsyncs the file to another machine behind a firewall. This post details the problems I ran into while trying to get cron to run the ruby script and rsync to the remote host.

On Sunday (July 6th), I went to the 2nd Annual Crossfit Games in Aromas, CA. A lot of fun. Incredibly fit, half naked people everywhere. Sort of like Woodstock for jocks.

A technical note on what it took to make this awesomeness:
“….Hey thanks for the kind words y’all! infoPimps question, I shot this on two Panasonic HVX 200s at 720P, then edited in Final Cut Pro and composited in After Effects CS3. It took about 3 months of post work with three animators working for about 6 weeks and me finishing it myself for the rest of that time (after I ran out of money to pay animators)….”
