Ephemerisle ’09
I was pretty busy trying to keep the houseboat flotilla from floating away (Friday) and building the platform (Saturday), so I didn’t take many pictures until the Saturday feast. For many more pictures, video, and blog posts, see the Ephemerisle coverage page.

The maiden voyage of Patri’s pirate pyramid.
Holley playing the cello on top of the houseboat as we approached Ephemerisle
L-R: Danielle, Patri, Debra, James, Reichart, and Dave. This was one of the rare times James and Patri had any downtime.

This guy built a two-story motorized couch boat
One of the couchboat riders. I didn’t get their names, but I think they were one of the Raygun Gothic Rocket builders.
One of Chicken’s friends (girlfriend?)

Danger Ranger is a Burning Man legend, founder of the Black Rock Rangers, among many other things.
Genevra aka “Chef” cooked delicious chili for ~120 people.
On Sunday morning, someone started playing the unofficial Ephemerisle theme song, and everyone started dancing and singing on the roofs of the houseboats.
One of the Apocaisle folks. She (they?) created the first radio station at Ephemerisle.

Our medics, Duncan and ?. Fortunately, we didn’t need their services. They also worked really hard to build the platform.
Reichart
This guy was carrying around a film Hasselbad. I’m curious to see how his photos turn out.
The milk crate bridge turned into the milk crate ferry. This worked really well, and one of the 9 year olds really took charge of ferrying people back and forth.
The floating flowers were beautiful at night.

The Zorb was funny as hell to watch. Photo’s below courtesy of Liz Henry

Matt Bell brought three different major art projects, all of them cool. His pictures turned out better than mine did, so I recommend checking them out. His epic light sabre battle with Holley across the Achievement Lounge is also worth watching.
